78 cm (30.75") 4-String Bass

This is a 78 cm scale length 4-string bass using the normal Martyr body pattern. Two EMG dual coil pickups and a piezo pickup in the bridge drive this baby.

The pictures do not do justice to oak. Quarter-Sawn oak produces an intensely deep iridescent tiger-eye effect.

The body is made up of a sandwich construction consisting of book-matched oak, blood wood and maple accent stripes, with a walnut core. The fret board, in Macassar Ebony,has 24 frets plus a zero fret.

The head is sandwiched with 1/16 inch Macassar Ebony veneer, matching the fret board, with the Paian Instruments logo in marquetry. A nickel silver string spacer keeps the strings in position for the zero fret.
