86 cm (34") 5-String Bass

This is an 86 cm (34") scale length 5-string bass using the Apocalypto body style. Two EMG Dual Coil Bass pickups and a piezo pickup in the bridge drive this baby.

The body is made up of a sandwich construction consisting of book-matched walnut front and back, maple accent stripes, with an oak core. The book-matched walnut burl top and back came from a the same piece of walnut cut in Marysville, CA.

The fret board, in ebony, has 24 frets.

The head is sandwiched with 1/16 inch walnut that matches the body front and back with the Paian Instruments logo in marquetry.
