The Martyr ()

Martyr is an ancient Greek word which has lost it's true meaning in our modern society. Martyr is a purely legal term which means to bear witness, give evidence, or testify: something that someone would be called to do in our court system today just as in the ancient world. The idea that this ancient word means to 'die for a cause' is not substantiated by the ancient textual record.

The Martyr body style is a geometric abstraction of the traditional violin shape. Straight lines and aggressive curves are evidence to the designs that are destined to flow.
